Full Complaint Details
I am filing a formal complaint against Maruti Suzuki regarding my brand-new Maruti Suzuki Brezza ZXi 1.5L Manual, purchased from SKY Automobile, Dhenkanal, and delivered on 1 September 2026.
Since the day of delivery, my vehicle has had an electrical issue in which the right-side daytime running light (DRL) and rear parking light remain switched on even when the vehicle is parked and switched off. This is a serious concern because it may drain the battery and raises questions about the vehicle's electrical system and reliability.
When I reported the issue to the dealership, I was initially informed that I could take delivery of the vehicle and bring it back the following day to disable the lights. However, after I handed over the vehicle, the dealership took approximately one week to identify the fault, which they reportedly attributed to the PCM (Powertrain Control Module).
I have also faced delays and a lack of timely communication regarding the diagnosis and resolution. It is extremely disappointing to experience such a problem in a brand-new vehicle immediately after purchase, especially when I expected proper quality checks and reliable after-sales support from a reputed automobile manufacturer.
I have already raised this matter with the dealership and Maruti Suzuki customer care, but I am seeking a clear, time-bound resolution rather than repeated assurances or temporary fixes.
I request the following resolutions:
1. A thorough inspection and permanent repair of the PCM-related electrical fault at no additional cost to me.
2. Written confirmation of the root cause of the fault, the repairs carried out, and the measures taken to prevent the issue from recurring.
3. Appropriate compensation for the inconvenience, time lost, repeated follow-ups, and disruption caused by this issue in a newly purchased vehicle.
4. Escalation of this complaint to the concerned senior customer relations and technical teams, with a clear timeline for resolution.
I purchased a new vehicle expecting safety, reliability, and peace of mind. Instead, I have had to deal with a fault from the time of delivery and delays in getting a satisfactory resolution.
I request Maruti Suzuki to treat this complaint seriously, arrange a permanent technical resolution within seven days, and provide a written response regarding compensation. I reserve my right to approach the appropriate consumer grievance redressal authorities if the matter remains unresolved.
I expect a fair, prompt, and satisfactory resolution from Maruti Suzuki.
