Subject: Complaint Against Settl for Wrongful Retention of Security Deposit and Non-Responsive Conduct I am filing this complaint against Settl, Bangalore, regarding the non-refund of my security deposit despite repeated follow-ups. I stayed at a Settl property from March 2026 to June 2026. At the time of check-in, I paid a security deposit of ₹34,000. As per the rental agreement and the assurances provided by their representatives, the security deposit was to be refunded within the agreed timeline after vacating the property. I vacated the property on 30 June 2026. Despite the agreed refund period having passed, I have still not received my deposit. Since then, I have made numerous attempts to contact Settl through phone calls, messages, and other communication channels. Unfortunately, they have been consistently ignoring my calls, failing to respond to messages, and providing no update regarding my refund. I possess sufficient evidence to support my complaint, including: * The rental agreement/contract. * Proof of payment of the ₹34,000 security deposit. * Call recordings and communication records. * Evidence of repeated follow-up attempts. This conduct amounts to unfair business practice and causes unnecessary financial hardship and mental distress to customers. I request the concerned authority to: 1. Direct Settl to immediately refund my security deposit of ₹34,000. 2. Investigate their repeated failure to respond to customers and honour contractual commitments. 3. Take appropriate action to prevent similar harassment of other tenants. I am prepared to provide all supporting documents and evidence whenever required.
