Full Complaint Details
The complainant obtained an insurance policy from the opposite party and duly paid all the required premiums. During the validity of the policy, the insured event occurred, and the complainant promptly lodged a claim along with all the necessary documents. However, the opposite party arbitrarily rejected the claim without any valid or justifiable reason, despite the complainant having complied with all the terms and conditions of the policy. The wrongful rejection of the claim amounts to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice, causing the complainant financial loss, mental agony, and unnecessary hardship. The complainant, therefore, seeks appropriate relief from this Hon'ble Commission, including payment of the insurance claim, compensation, and costs of the proceedings.
