The ticket I took from Kashigaon line to Mandapeshwar station is 40 rupees - which is Mira Road to Dahisar. As against the fare for Dahisar to Andheri which is 40 rupees. Or Mandapeshwar to Magathane which is 20 rupees. The distance for Kashigaon to Mandapeshwar is equal to or less than that of Mandapeshwar to Magathane, and definitely not to same as Mandapeshwar to Magathane. The discrepancy is because the lines are different and hence the crossing over of line makes the base fare of both lines charged - but that’s unfair to the consumer because the distance travelled is not much - and just because of the technical infrastructure systemised by the operations cannot be passed on as an extra charge to the commuter.
